There are so many suggestions coming in, I wanted to consolidate them and have a consistant list to show what's been changed or added.
- Color and theme change to something less "fresh install" Red (scroll to bottom left of page to change it)
- 'Latest post' module Red
- Youtube in-post code for putting youtube videos in posts red (standard parse)
- User avatars? red
- Private message default is "off," should be on. Red
- RSS Feed for News forum
- User description/location Red
Feel free to add suggestions below, I'll update as we go.

I think actually that's pretty close. Keeping within the already established theme is important. What if you darken the colors so the orange is deeper and the blue is more navy?

Gimme a couple minutes. I do worry about darkening orange, though... Orange and yellow both have a tendency to look dirty when you take the value down.
Something like the orange color that EvAv subscribers get for their name.

I like the background like that! It brings out the logo in a really bold way.
I'm still stuck on that I generally don't like dark letters on a bright background.

I like it except for the that the peach color seems to contrasting and bright compared to the rest. I think a duller yellow would work better.

Looks awesome! Can you make the dark orange of the forum boxes match the duller orange in the logo? That might work a little better. I do like the dark blue background- it's not black but really does work well with the logo.
:)

The top half is the orange of the logo, the bottom half is the orange of the Recent Post boxes. Although they are different shades, the difference is minuscule.

There is an option in User CP>Settings & Options>Edit Options. It is marked "Enable Private Messaging" and it is unchecked by default. I tried sending a PM to Slack and received this error message:
Slack3r78 has chosen not to receive private messages or may not be allowed to receive private messages. Therefore you may not send your message to him/her.
If you are trying to send this message to multiple recipients, remove Slack3r78 from the recipient list and send the message again.

You probably don't have the option to disable PMs since you are a great big muckety-muck.

Everyone gets hot-headed, even admins / mods. I propose that if an event occurs that an admin is personally vested in and action needs to be taken, the admin does what he needs to do for the immediate effect (temp ban, perma ban, delete posts, lock thread, etc.). Then he should pass the damage control over to another admin who isn't involved. This way we avoid creating a further hostile environment since a cool-headed 3rd party is now handling the situation.
Entirely this.

No big deal, I haven't either. It is actually a hassle to do so. Ideally, it will work the way mentioned above. That way, you make one post in the forum, and then it's displayed in the forum and the front page. I don't know if you will be able to comment on the front page or not, but if not, I'll just link to the forum page if you wish to leave a comment, and at least display the comments on the front page that have been left in the forums.

clever, but I am saving my sig for the witticisms by Slack3r that are unrelated to alcohol.

I don't believe so. I'd need to look into it.

I apologize for not reading the entire thread as I post this, but I would like to see an icon by threads you've already posted in. I recognize threads I've been in, but I've noticed that there's no icon to indicate that I've posted in it before.
Makes it a little hard to keep track of threads I've currently/already frequented.
Edit: Nevermind. I saw thecrazyD's thread. *embarrased*
It already doses this by adding an arrow to the left of every thread you have posted in.

How does the recent posts look?
Me likey.
10 chars here too? Nooooooo!!!!!!!!
EDIT: Although not having it in the individual thread pages makes it more jarring. I might keep it everywhere, just for consistency.
