Bonks Adventure

Every company has its mascots. Nintendo has mario, Sega has sonic, Microsoft has master chief, and so on. The PC engine, or TurboGrafx, had Bonk. Nowadays, the average gamer has never heard of bonk. Was it because his game were terrible? Definitely not

Bonks Adventure is cheerful, entertaining and colourful. The game takes place in pre-historic times, with Bonk travelling from the platforming cliche of jungle, sea and ice levels, and facing of against dinosaurs and other assorted cavemen foes. Bonks only weapon is his massive head, but he can also climb up walls using his teeth and glide through the air using his somersault. Bonk replenishes health by eating vegetables (eat your greens, kids) and turns into an invincible, head-butting superman once he has devoured two pieces of meat.

Without a doubt, Bonks Adventure is something everyone can enjoy. Bonk is such a lovable character, and its a shame there hasn't been a sequel in recent years

This is the second of my VC reviews. There will be more to come, so don't be afraid to add me as a friend and come back in a while! check out my other Vc review on Sin & Punishment

Loved the review man, short and to the point. I was looking for a good VC game to pick up till Brawl comes out over here.

Your from the UK? Me to! I hated having to wait for Brawl, and hopefully the June date will stay fixed.

I've always wanted to play Bonk but I never got a chance.

How does it stack up to say Joe & Mac or Congo's Caper?

StinkyCheese StinkyCheese on 05/05/2008 (permalink)

Yep, theres no huge difference between bonk and joe & mac/Congos caper. and $6 is pretty cheap, so I would suggest giving it a try!

Although I havent played it and cant give an honest opinion, I hear bonk 2 is better than the 1st

I think this site needs a little tuning. I only posted one comment, it came up with a ''comment could not be submitted'' and now there is two! weird

Also, I saw you on cag, WillardHaven

Yea, I don't know what's going on with the double posting of comments. Really not a huge deal since it doesn't "break" anything, but I just noticed it and I'll get on it right away.

I dont mind it really. I seem to be the only one affected, because the only other double comment I say had changes made to the second one- obviously the authors fault and not the site

Thanks though, you're doing a great job ;)
